12/30/09 Our wind speed the fastest we had was 8.3, go Romeo go,we are sailing with great wind, not far to go, but still nice to be sailing. Had to go around small Islands and sand bars to get to Emerald Rock mooring ball field. Romeo was ready to move, because the mooring ball was moving around and hitting the boat and the sound to dragging chain against the boat like pirates were down under the boat pulling on it,or it also could be the current.
Our new spot on the beach for the night nice.
Still not sure why he wanted Juliette to cover the E.
Now we finally know what Poison Wood looks like.
Not a bad looking tree, but from here on out the Island is covered with it and is also all over the trail, you would think they would keep it off the trail!!!!
This is the only people we ran into on our three hour hike, no one after these guys.We all talked about fishing and how lucky we are to be in this beautiful country. They are a sailing family from Canada, they also have two more teenage boys. They invited us for music night on their boat.
The water is about a foot deep we could walk to the boat from here.
This is a shark under water sorry the pictures not good.
Sink hole at the Pirates Lair.
Southside mooring field does not look to friendly no thanks, strong current.
Finally get some rest around here.
Back to the trail its getting late and will be dark so.
You do not what to get caught in the dark on this very dangerous trail.
The sun is going down so we will have to run when we reach the beaches, to get to the boat before sunset.
This is the biggest rat we have ever see and it is protected and on the Endangered species list in the Bahamas.
Made it back to the dingy just at sunset, good thing we ran on the beach.
Just another day in paradise .
