Departing Hawksbill Cay, not going to far today just want to get to head quarters and buy some internet cards and check in with Rusty. It take us about two and half hour to go 10 mile the waves are big and we are pounding into the wind and waves. We get to the Emerald Rock mooring, we don’t pick up a ball we just anchor just south of the balls. Romeo gets the dingy down and we head to the beach to walk to head quarter.
High wind and two to three foot sea the water is rough, but we make it to the beach with no problem.
We walk to head quarts and try to buy the internet card, but now the rule change she tells us we must pay for a mooring ball if we want internet. We pay for two cards and the ball for one night $35.00.
Outside the head quarter there are some small friendly bird that migrate to the area and stop for a snack.
The camp host has bird feeders and a jar of sugar, for park guest to feed them.
They like the sugar as much as Romeo. The sugar creates a little bird frenzy to get the sugar off our hands. The birds are very efficient getting the sugar off you hand and it trickles.
It is so hot Romeo takes his clothes off and goes for a swim, he went nude so he would not have to walk back in wet shorts, Juliette joined him for a quick swim. The water is starting to warm up around 83 degrees, it felt great it was very hot and humid. After the swim Juliette finds another treasure a old white washes picket to make a sign.
Now back to the boat for a sundowner!
CHEERS!
