12/24/09 Romeo was up early and ready to go on a long hike to Normans Cay Beach Club to post the blog and spend some time with Dave and Linda for lunch. Linda had loaned some cook books, to Juliette the day before. Juliette had called her on the radio looking for a recipe for pecan pie and peach cobbler, Linda and her husband were planning a walk, so they dropped them off in 25 knot wind and 2 foot waves in the pond. Linda and her husband were quit adventurous going out in the bad weather for a walk and to the deliver the cook books. They were also planning a walk to Normans Beach Club the next day.
It was getting very hot again they landed the dingy on the beach on the north end of the pond and went on a 4mile hike to the bar.
The crew and owner of the Normans Cay Beach Club at Mcduffs. Thanks to all of the staff sharing your Island and your generosity, not to minion the holiday cheer with free egg nog and the cookies. Also good food and drinks and the free internet.
Forgot to minion Salt and Pepper the puppy dogs at Mcduffs they seem to be the mascots, Salt was unavailable for the photo, Salt is a sweet yellow lab. All the guest enjoyed the company of the friendly greeters and the homey atmosphere of the restaurant and bar on the beach on Norman Cay, Bahamas. Mcduffs also rent very cute bungalows, that run around $250.00 per night and the air strip is right next to them for easy access to the resort and rooms. With only a 20 min flight from Nassau Bahamas, this world be a great pick up spot to see the Exsumas Land and Sea Park let us know if you would like to join us soon, because the weather is clearing up and Romeo will soon set sail once again. This is a great Island, and a lot of fun for a good or bad weather, Romeo and Juliette will return some day this is a safe anchorage and friendly place to stay in the Exumas Cay. They were told by John in Rock Sound, if you can get in the Norman Cay, Pond you will be sitting pretty for any storm conditions. Thanks to the suggestion from John, from the sail boat Osprey, Romeo had a chance to finally decompress and get some work off the list.
