Hatchet Bay Pond, Alice Town

12/8/09  Romeo didn’t know where they were going today, but had to make a choice were to anchor for the night. Triple A wanted to go to the surfers beach, the choice was either Gregory  Town or Hatchet Bay.  Another sailing vessel named Lady J, captain Eli lee  and his crew, a couple he was teaching to sail,  stopped off for a chat the day before to offer some guidance about the area. Eli lee said  Gregory Town is the best choice and Lenny Kravass might playing at the local bar Elutes. Lenny owns a home  in the area. Juliette  would like to see him play but knows it is better to be in a safe harbor. So John Doe passes on the enternment and they tie to a government mooring ball in Hatchet Bay Pond.

AFTER ALONG HOT WALK  THEY ARRIVED AT SURFER BEACH

THE WATER IS ONLY ABOUT 5 FOOT DEEP WITH SOME REEFS BELOW AND THE WAVES HE IS SURFING ARE 8 FOOT HIGH IT TAKES SKILL TO SURF HERE, HE WAS FROM JACKSONVILLE FL AND WAS QUITE GOOD AND FUN TO WATCH. 

Romeo and Juliette sat in a small hut with another   couple, they were trying to get the nerve to try to surf. They all talked about surfing ,travel and the up and coming party  in Gregory Town that night. “BUT WHO CAN STAY UP PAST 10:00 pm” the lady said to Triple A. Whom was probably 15 or 20 years younger she said,” she would normal be in bed by 8:00pm”. They all watched the surfer master the waves and talked awhile longer. John Doe  watching the time said'” it’s time we start heading back to the boat”. After the first mile or so Romeo excepted a ride back to town he was getting hungry and need to eat. The man was a tile worker and had to drive to Alice Town, because Gregory Town was all out of gas. Not our reality in the USA, WE ALWAYS WANT IT FIVE MINUTES AGO. In the Bahamas  people just work with what they have. If  you own a business and you have something to do they lock the door and leave and customers will wait or come back another time. Sometimes they even leave a note.

GOOD WALK, HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE TRIPLE A TIRED DON’T THINK IT WORKED MORE TOMMORROW.
