12/7/09 Romeo had his coffee and decided it was time to move on. Royal Island is a short hop, a hour plus if he takes his time. Triple A wanted to make water so Romeo motor slowly over to the Island. Romeo set the anchor and they motored to shore.
Romeo dropped Juliette at the low point of the deteriorated concrete dock. As Juliette was helping tie the dingy, and Romeo was finding the best location to the dock. Triple A noticed a five foot long shark under the dingy circling below it, Romeo was not intimidated, but he didn’t go swimming again that night.
The signs look old so we figured its ok, kids don’t try this at home we are trained professionals.
This is a private Island Romeo had read not to go on the Island, Triple A heard that most of the Island was for sale and it was Sunday so what the heck lets have a tour.
The ancient ruins were built way back in the 1930’s, at one time this was a beautiful plantation and has had a caretaker for many years.
WOULD YOU WALK UNDER THIS ROOF?
Outdoor kitchen, this guy was way ahead of his time. Triple A was getting some exterior designs in mind for the CA house.
Look at the tile work on this place.
That caretaker is doing a great job, wonder if he is looking for work?
The place had 6 or seven buildings, two or three bedrooms each in it’s own building, a bath house, large open room with fireplace, lots of windows for a living room with a high arched ceiling, which was holding up the best, and the open kitchen. Also a pen for animals which had a trap set up John Doe almost walked into the trap.
Nice fishing and party patio on the water a quarter mile from the house.
Does anyone know what kind of fruit this is?
How about this one?
They went on a four mile hike, seen the lots for sale and a golf course plotted out with the tees and fairways marked with beautiful ocean views, this was all done in the early 1990’s, don’t know if they will ever find the cash to make it happen maybe someday, but the Island is surrounded with coral and one has one small beach where Romeo noticed a very big home on the south side.
The second pic of what is this? I believe is sea lettuce.
