No sunshine lets get out of here and head to Nassau

1/13/2010

Get up early talk it over and decide to do the crossing today just in case it is ugly and more wind tomorrow. Sea are 4 to 6 feet and some times bigger, because they are heading right into the waves and the wind is coming from the NE. Romeo was running both engines and had all the sails up and was going 7.5 knots most of the day. It is a lot just to keep you balance, but why wait, when it’s cold any way. Motor sail all the way and get to Rose Island just East of Nassau, around 2:30 nice place to anchor, but the bottom is not holding  Romeo move the boat 4 times until they hit a go bottom of sand that will hold them for the night. Around 4:30 pm we heard Gabe on his boat Emily Kristina, on the radio coming into to port at Nassau. Appartnetly  his genarator need to be replaced and he would be in Nassau for several days, Romeo called him and suggested they get together for dinner.

Both of them tired from the trip over to Nassau and not sleeping much the night before, they had a bloody mary and dinner and go to bed early.
