1/7/2010 Cold front still coming at them 24/7 from West, northwest and then north.
Radar shows wind speed and depth of water and location of the boat, the red line shows the wind direction.
Romeo and Juliette use to watch TV now they watch Radar it is exciting watching the wind speed change the top speed today was 34 knots.
They are still the only boat anchored or on a mooring ball in the Emerald Rock.
Romeo and Juliette had to go for a long walk to drop off movies to the Park Headquarters. Chris Parker reports an opening to travel before the next cold front will arrived.
1/8/2010 Getting ready to move out of Wardrick Wells the next day. Triple A will have to use the internet card and get some work done. Weather starting to calm down water temperature 68 degrees air temp 64 degrees. Then the wind finally stops, as Chris Parker had predicted. Every thing is dead calm before the next cold front shows up. And that's when a water-skier being pulled by a dingy at sunset put's it and all in prospective.
Cruisers learning to seize the moment when it’s there in front them.It is pretty amazing to be out in this beautiful place. But for Romeo and Juliette it’s time to pull out the wet suit’s, the next time they get into the water it's cold when below 75 degrees. At the end of the day, Emerald Rock mooring field is full of boats at sunset and all are enjoying the beautiful sunset and no wind for the first time in several days.
