1/9/2010 Slept like my old dog, finally flat water and no wind. After days sitting around at Wardrick Wells it’s time for a change of scenery. One day of good weather and tired of not the best protection Chris Parker predicts strong winds NW,N and gusting squalls up to 40 knots. Romeo feels it would be nice to get another good night sleep so they head back to Normans Cay, to the pond. Romeo gets up has his coffee and motors to the cut to go out to the Exuma Sound, so Triple A can try to catch a fish for dinner. He will have to go out 4 miles out of the Park to fish.
The water was beautiful with no wind but once again no fish. Went up to Highbour Cay to fuel up on diesel and get more fresh produce time to get out the fat wallet again, but Triple A loves salads and fresh fruit.
As Romeo pulls into the Marina there are some men cleaning fish and throwing the scrapes out to a large amount of nurse sharks, at least someone is catching fish.
They also had a lobster the size of medium sized dog. Lots to learn, were do they get them? Romeo and Juliette think they must be deep diving for them.
Fish all way back to Normans Pond still no fish for dinner. It was a warm sunny afternoon, but Romeo needed to decompress so he took a nap and Triple A did aerobic dancing and worked on her suntan with an ice cold margarita,on the the front deck of the boat it was perfect!!!!
