We get up and make coffee and listen to the weather show to make plans of our departure, back down to the Exsuma. Romeo asked Juliette, “ do you smell burnt wires.” Juliette says, “ Yes” Romeo starts looking for melted wires and the smell.
Romeo opens the door to the control panel, with all of the ectronics. The tools come out again they cover the floor and take up the whole floor in the saloon it is a mess. Romeo starts trying to chase down the problem checking all the wires first.
There are several that look melted, but nothing hot. He listen for the fan for the invert box not working and the box is hot and has shut down. Romeo takes it a part and it can’t be fix, it will have to be replaced.
He e-mails the company with the serial number and reads the imfortion booklet that came will the invertors.
This equipment is very important we will not be able to charge the batties unless the motor is running and will charge a little with the solar panels and the engines. Later after reading and waiting with no answers, he takes the cover off and puts a small fan in the cabinet in front of the invert. We start the generator and the fan and it works we will be able to charge the batties and continue with our trip.
We just have to babysit a fan and make sure we turn it off and on. And now wait for the company to e-mail back what to do next.
Romeo was stressed out so Juliette talks him into a dingy ride to the beach to go for a walk on a road on the south end, just to get off the boat for a while will help. Romeo also stop at her “glass farm” so she can pit it over one more time on the way back.
CHEERS!
