Still sitting in Normans Pond waiting for better weather

12/22/09   Stayed on the boat all day and did some research on the Exumas and Islands to visit when the weather clears up. It has been overcast of clouds scattered rain showers and around 15 knot winds in the pond. But out in the ocean, it is 15 to 25 knot winds and 4 to 9 foot seas and building. Not the best conditions to see paradise. So Romeo just feels better to be safe and wait out for nicer weather to go to Exuma Cay Land and Sea Park.

THINGS MAY APPEAR LARGER THAN THEY ARE, LOOKS LIKE THIS IS CHRISTMAS 2009

So Juliette put out the Christmas Cheer, the 7 inch Christmas tree, some garland and white lights.

A couple that Romeo and Juliette met at Normans Beach Club, called on channel 16 on the VHF radio, from his boat IRIECAT a  36 foot Fontaine Catamaran anchored on the south end of Normans Cay.

Lonnie and Teri are both golf pros and they live on their boat full time with their dog. Romeo and Lonnie had discussed doing some trading and Lonnie brought over some conch to teach Romeo how to clean them.

LOOKED LIKE A LONG NECK CLAM AT THIS POINT

CLEANING THE CONCH WAS NOT EASY AND AFTER ALL THIS YOU TAKE A HAMMER  OR SOMETHING AND BEAT IT FLAT IN A ZIP LOCK BAG, THE THINNER THE BETTER. THAT SHOULD BE THE FUN PART!!!!!

Lonnie is giving one of his extra Hawaiian slings to Romeo for lobster and fish diving. Romeo had purchased the spear in Rock Sound and needed the sling, because the lobster shell is to hard to get thru with just the spear. Romeo gave him a 6 pack of beer some rubber hose and Juliette gave one of her fishing set ups, it was like a Christmas gift exchange. They are heading south towards George Town, but on a tight schedule and are limited were they can stop in the Park with their dog and also traveling with their friend on OCEAN VIEW whom left that day. Romeo and Juliette were sad to see them leave so soon. They were all really nice people and maybe they will cross paths again later.
